Women's rights are not only a basic human right, it is also a topic that has to be taught at university. Our students, female and male, need to understand the mechanisms of oppression and discrimination and be able to establish policies for gender equality.

The future leaders of the Panafrican Community need to be experts in that area. That is what they will be taught about in the faculty of gender issues.

The Faculty will bring together different experts from different disciplines, will create an opportunity for intersections, and insist both on theories and on actual development.
